Avantis Education celebrates ClassVR being shortlisted for two Bett Awards

Avantis Education is celebrating being shortlisted in this year’s Bett Awards after ClassVR was announced as a finalist in two categories – ‘Hardware VR/AR Robotics or Digital Device’ and ‘International Digital Educational Resource’.

Produced in association with British Educational Suppliers Association, Besa, the Bett Awards are a celebration of the inspiring creativity and innovation that can be found throughout technology for education, both in the UK and internationally.

Since introducing ClassVR in 2017, Avantis has continually evolved the first and only AR/VR solution for education to meet the needs of teachers and students around the world. The most recent innovation has seen the introduction of Eduverse – the first metaverse specifically for K-12 education.

Eduverse was a key factor in ClassVR becoming a finalist in the coveted ‘Hardware VR/AR Robotics or Digital Device’ category. As the content engine that now powers ClassVR, Eduverse breaks new ground by being accessible on any device – giving teachers greater flexibility regardless of hardware and making edtech budgets go further.

Recognised in the ‘International Digital Educational Resource’ category, ClassVR is used in more than 100,000 schools across more than 90 countries globally. In the last 12 months, Avantis has supported the global adoption of ClassVR with a series of strategic initiatives which have included MoE pilots and the opening of a new US office. Avantis Education has also continued investment that means ClassVR is now localised in 27 languages and aligned with curriculums in more than 11 key territories.

The winners will be announced on 24th January 2024 at an awards ceremony in London.
