Win marks the sixth US award win for Avantis Education since last year
Chicago (July 7, 2023) — Eduverse from Avantis Education was named a winner in the Tech & Learning Best of Show awards at ISTELive 23, the premier national edtech conference which was held in Philadelphia at the end of June. This marks the sixth U.S. award win since last year for Avantis, the leader in virtual reality technology for K-12 schools. The Best of Show winners were selected based on their ease of use, value, uniqueness in the market, and proof that the product helps make teachers’ lives easier and supports student achievement.

Eduverse is a built-for-education online platform that helps districts supplement curriculum by providing immersive, educational VR and AR content in a secure, teacher-controlled virtual environment. Eduverse is accessible on any device, and is also the content hub for schools using ClassVR, Avantis Education’s award-winning all-in-one VR headsets. Teachers enter the Eduverse from any internet-enabled device to invite students into virtual scenes where they communicate and collaborate using avatars. Students can virtually join their classmates on the moon, explore World War I trenches, swim with sharks, or float through blood vessels. A free option makes it accessible regardless of budget, or VR hardware access. By fall 2023, all 400+ full lessons within Eduverse will be aligned to U.S. state standards in science, social studies and English Language Arts.

This is the second award win for Eduverse and the sixth U.S. award Avantis Education has won since the beginning of 2022, including two prior wins from Tech & Learning. Its wins include the 2023 SmartBrief Readers’ Choice Awards, the EdTech Digest 2023 EdTech Awards, Tech & Learning Best of Show Awards at ISTELive 22, Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence Best of 2022, and THE Journal’s 2022 New Product Awards. Eduverse Expeditions was also named a finalist in the District Administration’s Top Ed Tech Products Awards at FETC 2023.
